The employees
Without the right employees no company can be successful. We are proud of our highly qualified and motivated colleagues, who have also kept the company on the fairway when times were hard. Our personal on land is comprised of almost 50 employees; mainly highly educated and efficient engineers that take care of the smooth shipping operations. As well as these engineers, there are approximately 1.000 seamen on the ships who are mainly employed via a crewing company.
Other employees work in our subsidary "Ems Conbulk Befrachtungs GmbH" which founded in 1999 has its headquarters in Leer, Germany. This organisation is responsible for the disposition of 70 modern container ships, multi-purpose and heavy lift vessels.
Additional manpower is derived from a close co-operation with allied shipping companies and brokers. First and foremost, this includes BBC CHATERING and Logistics GmbH of Leer who are employing a part of our fleet as timecharters whilst Messrs. Apollo Shipping in Hamburg are responsible for our "mini-bulker" vessels.
