The company
The history of our company began in 1983. In that year, Captain
Werner Bockstiegel founded ‘Bockstiegel Bereederungs GmbH‘ for
all kinds of shipping business. A special focal point of the business
was the planning of new buildings as well as their commercial and
technical support. This is still the case today, although since the
year 2000 the company trades under the name of ‘W.Bockstiegel Reederei GmbH & Co KG‘.
Thanks to our experience and comprehensive knowledge in nautical, technical and commercial matters, the company has enjoyed a continuous growth since it was founded. This growth is documented
by the constantly increasing number of successfully sold vessels as
well as the number of vessels launched and managed; by the year
2010 the Bockstiegel fleet should comprise a total of 90 ships which
are each operated as independent private limited partnerships.
